TuiFly B738 at Cologne on Dec 27th 2013, flaps problems

A TuiFly Boeing 737-800, registration D-AHFR performing flight X3-2207 from Las Palmas,CI (Spain) to Cologne/Bonn (Germany) with 188 passengers and 6 crew, was on approach to Cologne when the crew entered a hold at 3500 feet reporting problems with the flaps. The crew subsequently declared emergency and requested emergency services on stand by to cool down the brakes. The aircraft landed safely on runway 14L at a higher than normal speed and taxied to the apron with emergency services following the aircraft to the stand.

The incident aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours before departing to the Canary Islands again as flight X3-2278.
