Rossiya A148 at St. Petersburg on Aug 21st 2014, flaps problems

A Rossiya Antonov AN-148, registration RA-61703 performing flight FV-6752 from Samara to Saint Petersburg (Russia), was on approach to Saint Petersburg when the crew went around reporting problems with the flaps. The aircraft climbed back to 1500 meters, the crew worked the related checklists and positioned for another approach resulting in a safe landing at a higher than normal speed.

The airline confirmed a malfunction of the flaps.
