Zest A320 at Kalibo on Dec 19th 2013, runway excursion during backtrack

A Zest Air Airbus A320-200, registration RP-C8988 performing flight Z2-58 from Kalibo (Philippines) to Busan (South Korea) with 127 passengers and 7 crew, was taxiing for departure at about 15:44L (07:44Z) and about to turn 180 degrees to align with the runway center line for takeoff when the nose gear departed paved surface. No injuries occurred, the aircraft received no visible damage.

The airport was closed for about 110 minutes until the aircraft was moved back onto paved surface and to the apron.

The flight was cancelled.
