Singapore A388 at Singapore on Apr 19th 2014, bleed air problems and deflated tyres on landing

A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9V-SKB performing flight SQ-322 (scheduled dep Apr 18th, actual dep Apr 19th) from Singapore (Singapore) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), departed with delay following maintenance works on two engines (Trent 970) at the gate and was climbing out of Singapore when the crew stopped the climb at 10,000 feet and decided to return to Singapore due to the failure of two engine bleed air systems and resulting air conditioning problems. The aircraft landed overweight about 30 minutes after departure and rolled out without further incident, 8 main gear tyres deflated as result of the landing.

A replacement Airbus A380-800 registration 9V-SKE reached London with a delay of 11.5 hours.

The airline reported a number of tyres deflated during landing when the aircraft returned to Singapore due to air conditioning problems.

Passengers reported they had been pushed back and engine start commenced, however two engines did not light up. Maintenance worked on those engines for two hours, then the aircraft departed, however, the air conditioning did not work. The aircraft returned to Singapore and touched down "so hard", a number of tyres burst.
