Delta B763 near Goose Bay on May 1st 2014, engine shut down in flight

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N188DN performing flight DL-271 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Newark,NJ (USA), was enroute at FL310 about 125nm west of Goose Bay,NL (Canada) when the crew reported the loss of the left hand engine (PW4060), drifted down and diverted to Goose Bay for a safe landing about 50 minutes later.

A replacement Airbus A330-300 registration N817NW was dispatched to Goose Bay, resumed the flight and reached Newark with a delay of 11 hours.

The left hand engine is being replaced.
