British Airways B744 at Delhi on Feb 20th 2014, deflated tyres on landing

A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-BNLW performing flight BA-257 (dep Feb 19th) from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Delhi (India), landed on Delhi's runway 10 but became disabled due to overheated brakes causing a number of tyres to deflate while taxiing to the apron.

The return flight BA-256 has been cancelled. The website of British Airways now indicates the flight will depart Delhi with a delay of 27 hours.

Passengers reported the aircraft was taxiing towards the apron some time after landing when the aircraft stopped and crew indicated overheating brakes had caused tyres to deflate.

Passengers waiting for the return flight are complaining that they were told there would be some delay due to burst tyres, another delay and still have no information about when to expect departure.
