Antonov A124 near East Midlands on Dec 27th 2013, engine trouble
An Antonov Design Bureau Antonov AN-124-100, registration UR-82073 performing freight flight ADB-1428 from East Midlands,EN (UK) to Dakar (Senegal), was climbing out of East Midlands when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 reporting problems the with #3 engine (D-18T). The aircraft entered a hold for about 45 minutes and returned to East Midland for a safe landing.
A replacement AN-124-100 registration UR-82009 reached Dakar 4 days later. The incident aircraft is still on the ground in East Midlands.
