American MD82 at Dallas on Jan 17th 2014, engine shut down by itsself

An American Airlines McDonnel Douglas MD-82, registration N33502 performing flight AA-166 from Dallas Ft. Worth,TX to St. Louis,MO, was climbing through 9000 feet out of Dallas with both engines showing normal engine readings when the right hand engine (JT8D) shut down without crew action. The aircraft returned to Dallas for a safe landing about 16 minutes after departure.

A replacement MD-82 registration N552AA reached St. Louis with a delay of 2:15 hours.
