American B752 at Quito on Oct 15th 2014, could not fully retract gear

An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N173AN performing flight AA-932 from Quito (Ecuador) to Miami,FL (USA), was climbing out of Quito when the crew stopped the climb at 10500 feet due to a gear door remaining open and decided to return to Quito for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure.

In the meantime another aircraft on approach to Quito had their approach clearance cancelled and were instructed to climb back to 18000 feet and join a holding pattern.

The occurrence aircraft was able to depart about 4 hours after landing back and reached Miami with a delay of 4:15 hours.
