American B752 near Lubbock on Aug 11th 2014, engine vibrations
An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N192AN performing flight AA-2381 from Orlando,FL to Los Angeles,CA (USA) with 180 people on board, was enroute at FL400 about 90nm southeast of Lubbock,TX (USA) when the crew reported problems with the right hand engine (RB211) and decided to divert to Lubbock, coming in high for the approach for runway 35L and doing an orbit about 20nm out before continuing for a safe landing on runway 35L. After a check by emergency services the aircraft taxied to the apron.
A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration N640A reached Los Angeles with a delay of 6:20 hours.
The airline reported the aircraft diverted because of engine vibrations.
