Yemenia A332 at Asmara on Apr 29th 2014, runway excursion during backtrack

A Yemenia Airbus A330-200, registration 7O-ADP performing flight IY-630 from Sana'a (Yemen) to Asmara (Eritrea), landed on Asmara's runway and slowed safely. While turning around at the end of the runway to taxi to the apron the nose gear went off the paved surface of the runway and received damage disabling the aircraft.

Asmara Airport was closed (no NOTAMs available) as result until early May 1st 2014, when the aircraft was repaired and removed from the runway.

7O-ADP positioned back to Yemen on May 1st and resumed service afterwards.
