Volga Dnepr A124 at Gander on Oct 25th 2014, touched down short of runway

A Volga Dnepr Antonov An-124-100, registration RA-82045 performing freight flight VI-2470 from Calgary,AB to Gander,NL (Canada) with 7 crew, landed on Gander's runway 03 but touched down just short of the threshold, the main gear contacted two threshold lights. The aircraft rolled out without further incident.

The Canadian TSB concluded their incident brief: "There was no damage."

NAV Canada reported that the aircraft landed on runway 03 and taxied to the apron. A runway inspection about 17 minutes later reported broken threshold lights and debris on runway 03, runway 03 was closed.

The occurrence aircraft departed for Casablanca (Morocco) about 13 hours after landing.
