Travel Service A320 at Bratislava on Jun 13th 2014, gear problem after departure
A Travel Service Slovakia Airbus A320-200, registration OK-MEJ performing flight 6D-6086 from Bratislava (Slovakia) to Marsa Alam (Egypt) with 119 people on board, was climbing out of Bratislava when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet and entered a hold to work the checklists. The crew subsequently reported they had a landing gear shock absorber fault, they could not retract the landing gear and autopilot and autothrottle weren't operating. The crew reported they had three green gear indications, company maintenance advised to not expect any probem upon landing back. The crew burned off fuel and returned to Bratislava for a safe landing about one hour after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration OK-TVG departed Bratislava with a delay of 2.5 hours.
