Thomas Cook A321 at Rhodes on Sep 24th 2014, hydraulic failure
A Thomas Cook Scandinavia Airbus A321-200, registration OY-VKE performing flight DK-748 from Rhodes (Greece) to Trondheim (Norway), was climbing out Rhodes when the crew stopped the climb at about FL120 reporting a hydraulic failure. The crew performed an alternate gear extension and returned to Rhodes for a safe landing on runway 25 about 20 minutes after departure.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 11 hours before resuming service.
