TAM Bolivia B733 near Cochabamba on Apr 30th 2014, engine failure causes loss of cabin pressure
A TAM Transporte Aereo Militar Bolivia Boeing 737-300, registration FAB-115 performing a charter flight from Montevideo (Uruguay) to La Paz (Bolivia) with 86 passengers, was enroute near Cochabamba (Bolivia) when the left hand engine (CFM56) failed prompting the crew to divert to Cochabamba. While descending towards Cochabamba the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft landed safely in Cochabamba about 30 minutes after the engine failure.
Bolivia's DGCA reported the aircraft had been dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with the APU inoperative.
