Southwest B737 at Phoenix on Oct 6th 2014, burst tyre on departure
A Southwest Boeing 737-700, registration N795SW performing flight WN-1359 from Phoenix,AZ to Newark,NJ (USA) with 135 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing out of Phoenix when the crew stopped the climb at 15,000 feet after receiving information they most likely had blown a tyre on takeoff from Phoenix. The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Phoenix for a safe landing about 2:50 hours after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N249WN reached Newark with a delay of 5.5 hours.
