Singapore A388 near Singapore on May 9th 2014, cargo door indication

A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9V-SKE performing flight SQ-866 from Singapore (Singapore) to Hong Kong (China) with 263 passengers, was climbing out of Singapore when the crew received an indication for a cargo door, stopped the climb at FL280 and returned to Singapore for a safe landing about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A380-800 registration 9V-SKI reached Hong Kong with a delay of 4 hours.

The airline stated engineers are troubleshooting why the cargo door warning came on.
