Shandong B738 at Hefei on Mar 19th 2014, bird strike

A Shandong Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration B-5450 performing flight SC-4816 from Hefei to Xiamen (China), was climbing out of Heifei when an engine (CFM56) ingested birds prompting the crew to return to Hefei, where the aircraft landed safely.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were taken to hotels and rebooked onto flights the following day.
