PAL Express A320 at Dipolog on Dec 29th 2013, bird strike

A PAL Express Airbus A320-200, registration RP-C8397 performing flight 2P-588 from Dipolog to Manila (Philippines) with 158 people on board, ingested a bird into its right hand engine (CFM56) while climbing out of Dipolog. The aircraft returned to Dipolog for a safe landing.

The flight needed to be cancelled. An inspection of the engine revealed two damaged fan blades.
