Lufthansa B735 near Hamburg on Oct 2nd 2014, generator failure
A Lufthansa Boeing 737-500, registration D-ABIX performing flight LH-841 from Billund (Denmark) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was enroute at FL350 about 30nm northnorthwest of Hamburg (Germany) when a generator (engine CFM56) failed prompting the crew to divert to Hamburg for a safe landing on runway 23 about 20 minutes later.
A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration D-AILR reached Frankfurt with a delay of 100 minutes.
The airline confirmed the failure of a generator caused the diversion to Hamburg.
