Jetblue E190 near New York on Jun 15th 2014, hydraulic pump failure

A Jetblue Embraer ERJ-190, registration N306JB performing flight B6-1142 from West Palm Beach,FL to Hartford,CT (USA) with 84 people on board, was enroute at FL390 about 80nm south of New York's JFK Airport when the crew reported a main hydraulic pump, but not the hydraulic system, had failed and they wanted to divert to JFK Airport. The aircraft landed safely on JFK's runway 31R about 35 minutes later.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-190 registration N334JB reached Hartford with a delay of 2:20 hours.

The airline confirmed a mechanical indication prompted the crew to divert out of abundance of caution. The aircraft carried 81 passengers and 3 crew.
