Expressjet CRJ2 at Washington on May 26th 2014, bird strike
An Expressjet Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of United, registration N830AS performing flight EV-5704/UA-5704 from Washington Dulles,DC (USA) to Montreal,QC (Canada), was in the initial climb out of Dulles' runway 01R when the right hand engine (CF34) was struck by a bird prompting the crew to return to Dulles Airport for a safe landing on runway 01C about 20 minutes after departure.
A replacement CRJ-200 reached Montreal with 2:45 hours delay.
