Delta B763 over Atlantic on May 12th 2014, weather radar failure

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N181DN performing flight DL-478 (dep May 11th) from New York JFK,NY (USA) to Accra (Ghana), was enroute over the Atlantic Ocean about 4.5 hours into the flight, approximate 1000nm short of Praia (Cape Verde) when at about 07:45Z the crew decided to turn around and divert to Atlanta,GA (USA) due to a failed weather radar and weather conditions further along the route. The aircraft landed safely back in Atlanta about 10:10 hours after departure.
