Delta B763 at Detroit on May 16th 2014, hydraulic failure

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N196DN performing flight DL-995 from Los Angeles,CA to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL350 about 230nm southwest of Detroit,MI (USA) when the crew decided to divert to Detroit due to a medical emergency on board. The aircraft was on final approach to Detroit's runway 04L when the crew initiated a go-around reporting the center hydraulic system and lack of nose wheel steering had failed and entered a hold at 3000 feet to work the problem. The aircraft subsequently positioned for an approach to runway 04R and landed safely. The aircraft needed to be towed off the runway.

A replacement Boeing 757-300 registration N584NW reached New York with a delay of 5:50 hours.
