Copa B738 near Panama City on Aug 4th 2014, cabin did not pressurize
A Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration HP-1534CMP performing flight CM-829 from Panama City (Panama) to Quito (Ecuador), was climbing out of Panama City when the crew stopped the climb at about 17,000 feet and returned to Panama City due to the cabin not properly pressurizing. The aircraft landed safely.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration HP-1717CMP reached Quito with a delay of 4.5 hours.
The airline confirmed the aircraft had problems with the cabin pressure.
