An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N679AN performing flight AA-2448 from Los Angeles,CA to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) with 184 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing through FL360 when the crew stopped the climb due to a cracked left hand windshield and returned to Los Angeles for a safe landing about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration N687AA reached Dallas Ft. Worth with a delay of 3.5 hours.
