Air Canada A320 near Calgary on Nov 20th 2013, generator and APU failure
An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FFWM performing flight AC-109 from Toronto,ON to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 150 people on board, was enroute at FL340 about 350nm eastsoutheast of Calgary,AB when the left hand generator went offline. The crew worked the relevant checklists and started the APU, however, when the APU was selected online it failed too. The crew therefore declared PAN and diverted to Calgary for a safe landing about 70 minutes later.
The Canadian TSB reported the #1 integrated drive generator and the APU generator were replaced.
