Aeropostal MD82 at Cumana on Nov 4th 2014, aircraft broke through runway surface
An Aeropostal McDonnell Douglas MD-82, flight VH-334 from Caracas to Cumana (Venezuela), landed on Cumana's runway 08 and slowed safely to taxi speed. While steering the aircraft towards the right hand runway edge for turning to turn left off (or backtrack) the runway the runway surface gave way causing the right hand main gear to sink into a hole. The aircraft was disabled, the passengers disembarked onto the runway via the rear stairs and were taken to the terminal.
