Aer Lingus A320 enroute on Apr 7th 2014, backup brakes problem
An Aer Lingus Airbus A320-200, registration EI-DVE performing flight EI-845 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Cork (Ireland), was enroute when the crew changed their destination to Shannon (Ireland) reporting a minor technical problem. On approach to Shannon the crew reported they had a problem with the backup brakes but expected a normal landing and they would be able to vacate the runway. The aircraft landed safely on runway 24 and vacated the runway, but was towed from the adjacent taxiway to the apron.
A passenger reported the aircraft diverted to Shannon due to a hydraulic problem. As a result the aircraft needed to be towed to the apron.
