Links JS31 at Doncaster on Aug 15th 2014, belly landing

A Links Air British Aerospace Jetstream JS-31, registration G-GAVA performing flight LNQ-2307 from Belfast City,NI to Doncaster,EN (UK) with one passenger and two crew, was on approach to Doncaster when the crew reported problems with the landing gear. The crew was forced to perform a gear up landing at about 19:30L (18:30Z) and landed the aircraft on its belly, the aircraft however veered off the runway and came to a stop on soft ground east of the runway. The passenger was taken to a hospital for checks, the aircraft sustained substantial damage.

The airport is estimated to remain closed until Saturday 13:00L (12:00Z).

The British AAIB dispatched investigators on site.
