Xiamen B738 at Wuhan on Oct 8th 2014, bird strike
A Xiamen Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration B-5790 performing flight MF-8137 from Fuzhoe to Wuhan (China), was on approach to Wuhan when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds receiving multiple impacts by birds. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Wuhan.
The aircraft needed repairs before it was able to depart for the onward leg to Tianjin departing with a delay of 6.5 hours.
The airline confirmed a bird strike leaving many traces on radome and windshield of the aircraft requiring 4 hours of checks for damage. The passengers were taken to hotels in the meantime. The flight was subsequently able to continue departing with a delay of 6.5 hours.
