UPS B763 at Denver on Jun 10th 2014, bird strike
A UPS United Parcel Service Boeing 767-300, registration N353UP performing freight flight 5X-2803 from Denver,CO to Louisville,KY (USA), departed Denver's runway 08 when the right hand engine (CF6) ingested a bird prompting the crew to request to return to Denver before being handed off to departure. The aircraft stopped the climb at 8000 feet and was vectored for an approach to runway 16L. While on the downwind for runway 16L the crew declared emergency. The aircraft landed safely on runway 16L about 7 minutes after departure. Attending emergency services reported damage to the leading edge of the right hand wing. The aircraft subsequently taxied to the apron.
The FAA reported the aircraft received damage to the right hand engine's fan blades and cowling.
