Transavia B737 at Eindhoven on Jan 7th 2014, flaps problems
A Transavia Boeing 737-700, registration PH-XRA performing flight HV-5108 from Valencia,SP (Spain) to Eindhoven (Netherlands) with 137 passengers and 5 crew, aborted the approach to Eindhoven's runway 21 reporting flaps problems at about 1100 feet MSL and went around. The crew declared PAN and positioned for another approach to runway 21 completing a safe landing at a slightly higher than normal speed about 17 minutes after aborting the first approach.
The incident aircraft was able to resume service about 4 hours after landing.
The airline confirmed a flaps problem, the crew requested emergency services on standby for the landing at a slightly higher than normal speed.
