Transaero B738 at Novosibirsk on Jun 10th 2014, asymmetric flaps

A Transaero Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration EI-RUK performing flight UN-62 from Larnaca (Cyprus) to Novosibirsk (Russia) with 120 passengers, was on approach to Novosibirsk when the crew aborted the approach to due asymmetric flaps. The crew climbed the aircraft back to 1100 meters, worked the related checklists and landed safely on runway 25 at a higher than normal speed (about 180 knots over ground).

The West Siberian Investigation Department of Transport reported an investigation to establish the circumstances of the occurrence has been opened.
