TACV B752 near Praia on Jul 26th 2014, engine oil problem

A TACV Boeing 757-200, registration D4-CBP performing flight VR-642 from Praia (Cabo Verde) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 115 passengers, was climbing out of Praia about 10 minutes into the flight when the crew decided to divert to Sal's (Cabo Verde) longer runway due to the right hand engine's (PW2040) oil pressure dropping. The aircraft landed safely on Sal's runway 01.

The airline reported a technical problem.

Maintenance identified an oil pump pressure/scavenge fault.
