Singapore B772 near Prague on Sep 20th 2014, cracked windshield

A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration 9V-SVC performing flight SQ-324 (sched dep Sep 19th, act dep Sep 20th) from Singapore (Singapore) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was enroute at FL380 about 15nm southwest of Prague (Czech Republic) when the crew requested a descent to FL300 reporting technical issues, subsequently explaining they did not need any assistance but had a cracked windshield. The aircraft continued to Amsterdam, near Frankfurt/Main (Germany) the aircraft needed a further descent to FL250. The aircraft landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 18R about one hour after leaving FL380.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Amsterdam about 14 hours after landing.

The return flight SQ-323 is estimated to depart Amsterdam with a delay of 11 hours.
