S7 A321 at Moscow on Apr 28th 2014, smoke in cabin

A S7 Sibir Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration VQ-BQI performing flight S7-155 from Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) to Chisinau (Moldova) with 219 people on board, was in the initial climb out of Domodedovo's runway 32L when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet due to smoke in the cabin and returned to Domodedovo Airport for a safe landing on runway 32L about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration VQ-BQJ is estimated to reach Chisinau with a delay of 2.5 hours.

Russia's Ministry of Interior initially reported the aircraft returned because of a fire indication for the right hand engine (CFM56).

The airline later reported the aircraft returned due to smoke in the cabin.
