Ryanair B738 at Birmingham on Aug 20th 2014, could not fully retract gear
A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EMC performing flight FR-1108 from Birmingham,EN to Derry,NI (UK), was climbing out of Birmingham's runway 33 when the crew could not fully retract the landing gear. The aircraft levelled off at 6000 feet and returned to Birmingham for a safe landing about 35 minutes after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DPD reached Derry with a delay of 6 hours.
The airline reported shortly after takeoff the crew received a cockpit warning light indicating a possible minor technical problem. The aircraft landed normally.
