A Republic Airlines Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of US Airways, registration N807MD performing flight YX-3446/US-3446 from Cincinnati,KY to Philadelphia,PA (USA), landed on Philadelphia's runway 27R, the crew maintained routine communication throughout approach and landing.

The FAA reported: "N807MD REPUBLIC AIRLINES FLIGHT RPA3446 EMBRAER ERJ170 AIRCRAFT ENGINE STRUCK A BIRD AND SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT, PHILADELPHIA, PA" providing a time stamp suggesting the aircraft descended through 6000 feet MSL at the time.
