Qatar B788 near Budapest on May 22nd 2014, technical problem

A Qatar Airways Boeing 787-800, registration A7-BCJ performing flight QR-196 from Brussels (Belgium) to Doha (Qatar) with 97 passengers, was enroute at FL410 about 35nm northeast of Budapest (Hungary) when the crew decided to divert to Budapest reporting a technical problem and requesting radar vectors but no assistance or priority. The aircraft landed safely on Budapest's runway 13L about 30 minutes after leaving FL410.

The aircraft was unable to continue the flight, a replacement Airbus A320-200 registration A7-AHU was dispatched to Budapest, resumed the flight and reached Doha with a delay of 10 hours.

The occurrence aircraft departed Budapest about 25 hours after landing and positioned to Doha, but has not yet resumed service 35 hours after landing in Budapest.
