Qantas A388 near Fiji on Oct 3rd 2014, dual fuel pump failure

A Qantas Airways Airbus A380-800, registration VH-OQL performing flight QF-7 from Sydney,NS (Australia) to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA), was enroute over the Pacific Ocean near the Fiji Islands when the crew decided to return to Sydney due to the failures of two fuel pumps of one fuel tank. The aircraft descended to FL300 for the return and landed safely back in Sydney about 9.5 hours after departure.

The aircraft was able to depart Sydney as flight QF-7D the following day with a delay of 25.5 hours.
