Mesa CRJ7 near Washington on Aug 1st 2014, hydraulic problem

A Mesa Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of United, registration N515MJ performing flight YV-3725/UA-3725 from Washington Dulles,DC to Burlington,VT (USA), was climbing out of Washington when the crew stopped the climb at FL250 due to a failed hydraulic pump. The aircraft returned to Washington Dulles for a safe landing about 65 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported they were initially told the aircraft returned due to a maintenance problem, later the airline informed passengers about an inoperative hydraulic pump. The flight was cancelled.
