Lufthansa A346 at Philadelphia on Jun 15th 2014, could not fully retract landing gear

A Lufthansa Airbus A340-600, registration D-AIHC performing flight LH-427 from Philadelphia,PA (USA) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany) with 270 people on board, was climbing out of Philadelphia when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting a problem with the gear. After working the relevant checklists to no avail the crew decided to return to Philadelphia, dumped fuel and landed safely back in Philadelphia about 90 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
