Jazz DH8A near Quebec on Jun 13th 2014, engine oil woes

A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-100, registration C-GONX performing flight QK-8964 from Baie Comeau,QC to Montreal,QC (Canada) with 9 people on board, was enroute near Quebec City,QC when the left hand engine's oil pressure indication dropped to 40 psi. The crew worked the relevant checklists, reduced the power lever to idle and feathered the propeller. Once the propeller was feathered the oil pressure indication increased to 50 psi and stabilized at 55 psi again. The crew continued to Montreal with the left hand engine idling. The aircraft landed safely.

The Canadian TSB reported that no low oil pressure warning occurred, only the pressure indication was abnormal with no other abnormal parameter being observed.
