Hainan B788 near Toronto on Jun 3rd 2014, hydraulic leak

A Hainan Airlines Boeing 787-800, registration B-2723 performing flight HU-7975 from Beijing (China) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 215 people on board, was enroute when the crew observed the quantity of the right hand hydraulic system dropped rapidly. The crew worked the related checklist, consulted with dispatch and turned off the engine driven pump and electric motor pump. Nonetheless, the hydraulic quantity continued to drop to zero. The crew declared emergency with Toronto air traffic control and continued for a safe landing on Toronto's runway 23.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance identified the hydraulic leak came from the right hand engine driven pump. The pump was replaced.
