Eurowings CRJ9 at Manchester on Jun 17th 2014, bird strike

A Eurowings Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of Lufthansa, registration D-ACNG performing flight EW-3432/LH-3432 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Manchester,EN (UK), was on final approach to Manchester when a bird impacted the right hand pitot tube. The crew continued for a safe landing at Manchester.

The return flight EW-3433/LH-3433 was cancelled, the aircraft is anticipated to return to service on Jun 18th after replacement of the pitot tube.
