CSA A333 near Moscow on Feb 26th 2014, generator problems

A CSA Czech Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration OK-YBA performing flight OK-190 from Prague (Czech Republic) to Seoul (South Korea), was enroute at FL350 about 340nm northeast of Moscow (Russia) when the crew received an IDG2 Low Oil Pressure Indication followed by an IDG2 Oil Overtemperature indication. The crew worked the related checklists disconnecting the right hand integrated drive generator (IDG2), however, the IDG2 could not be disconnected from the engine and the oil temperature continued to rise prompting the crew to declare PAN and divert to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 07L about one hour later.

Czech's UZPLN reported in their quarterly bulletin that the aircraft had been dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with IDG2 inoperative due to being electrically, but not mechanically disconnected. The IDG2 was replaced in Moscow and the aircraft was released to continue the flight.

The aircraft departed Moscow after about 14:45 hours on the ground and reached Seoul with a delay of 15 hours.
