British Airways A319 near London on Mar 5th 2014, cabin pressure problems
A British Airways Airbus A319-100, registration G-DBCB performing flight BA-976 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Hanover (Germany), was climbing through FL240 about 50nm northeast of London when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft turned around and returned to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27R about 45 minutes later.
A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration G-DBCG reached Hanover with a delay of 2.5 hours.
G-DBCB was performing its first flight after maintenance between Feb 28th to Mar 5th.
