ANA B773 at New York on May 27th 2014, engine shut down in flight

An ANA All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-300, registration JA735A performing flight NH-9 from New York JFK,NY (USA) to Tokyo Narita (Japan), was in the initial climb out of JFK's runway 31L when the crew reported the failure of the right hand engine and stopped the climb at 6000 feet. The crew shut the engine down and requested to dump fuel. The aircraft was vectored into a hold over water to dump fuel and landed safely back on runway 31L about 55 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
