American B738 at Miami on Jan 23rd 2014, landing gear did not retract

An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N884NN performing flight AA-928 from Miami,FL (USA) to Managua (Nicaragua), was climbing out of Miami when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet reporting the landing gear did not retract. The aircraft returned to Miami for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N937AN reached Managua with a delay of 3.5 hours.
